Columbus Recovery

As we welcome visitors back to our city and encourage residents to get out and explore, Columbus is dedicated to working alongside community partners to create seamless safety protocols while following local, state and federal public health requirements.

Here’s what you need to know about Columbus’ commitment:

Pursuing the citywide global cleanliness accreditation

The Global Biorisk Advisory Council’s GBAC STAR™ Accreditation is the cleaning industry’s only outbreak prevention, response and recovery accreditation for facilities. Currently, 8 Columbus businesses are accredited while 6 others are pursuing their accreditation. Learn More

Signing the Live Forward Pledge

More than 200 local businesses have signed the Live Forward Pledge to assure customers and guests that each of these businesses who are reopening are putting health and safety at the forefront. Learn More

Protocols businesses must follow to reopen:

  1. Bring a facemask everywhere you go. Masks are currently required indoors and outdoors where social distancing cannot be maintained

  2. Call attractions/restaurants before visiting. Some may have timed tickets, limited availability or adjusted business hours

  3. Conduct daily health assessments before visiting any business

  4. Wash hands and sanitize frequently

  5. Sports and entertainment venues are allowed to reopen with 25% of maximum indoor capacity and 30% maximum outdoor capacity
