This summer will be the return of live music in the city, with plenty of spaces outdoors to safely enjoy. Express LIVE! will host outdoor concerts for national and local acts, like CAAMP, starting in July and August, you can view their calendar of events on their website. WonderBus Music Festival will also be returning to Columbus August 28-29 on the CAS Lawn—tickets are on sale now.
If you’re looking for some free live entertainment, stop by Polaris Fashion Place on Thursday evenings starting June 3 as they kick off the return of their Live @ Polaris Summer Concert Series.
Nothing says summer like baseball and the Columbus Clippers will be welcoming guests back into their stadium this year. Grab a drink after the game at one of the nearby restaurants or bars in the Arena District. If you’re more of a soccer fan, grab tickets to a Columbus Crew SC game. The 2020 MLS Cup Champions will be in their brand new stadium downtown starting July 3. Don’t miss your chance to be one of the first fans inside!
Beer, Wine & Spirits
Columbus also has dozens of craft breweries like Land Grant, Seventh Son Brewing, Wolf’s Ridge Brewing, and BrewDog. Check out the Columbus Ale Trail and plan visits to them all throughout the summer or a handful during your visit.
As the weather gets warmer, evenings are best spent outdoors. Columbus is home to many beautiful patios found in the lovely neighborhoods of the Short North, Gahanna, Grandview and Bridge Park in Dublin, to name a few.
If you’ve missed the nightlife, grab your friends and visit one of Columbus’ many unique bars on a warm summer night. From dives, to nightclubs, to rooftops, the city has a bar that fits any scene.
If you want a taste of the big city life, venture up to Lincoln Social, a rooftop bar above Cameron Mitchell’s Del Mar SoCal Kitchen in the Short North, grab a brew on the roof of BrewDog Franklinton or sip on a crafted cocktail at VASO in Dublin on the roof of the AC Marriott or the RH Rooftop Restaurant at Easton Town Center.
