For an intimate dinner, the patio at Basi Italia can't be beat. For fun cocktails, check out the patio at The Breezway at The Table in the Short North Arts District.

Dine Local

The capital city’s incredible food scene features top-ranked chefs, a rich farm-to-table movement, one-of-a-kind restaurants and creative artisan desserts, beers, wines and spirits. Columbus has consistently gained national recognition for its food scene in recent years and offers more than 100 restaurants in walking distance in the heart of downtown, with local options ranging from fast-casual to fine-dining and everything in between.

The Short North Arts District has a slew of restaurants to choose from. Duck into Columbus’ beloved Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams; grab a bite to eat at The Guild House or The Pearl; and quench your thirst with craft beverages from One Line Coffee or Denmark on High. Head south of downtown to German Village and nosh on delicious pizza at Harvest Pizzeria and feast your eyes on a rainbow assortment of macarons at French patisserie, Pistacia Vera. Their coffee is roasted especially for this restaurant by a local roaster Café Brioso. The patio at Lindey's is not to be missed during the summer months.

Don't leave without a visit to The North Market, Columbus’ historic public market since 1876, featuring fresh and prepared foods, authentic ethnic cuisine, flowers, wine and beer, unique gifts and cookware. During the growing season, stop by The North Market for a bustling farmer’s market featuring more than 20 farmers each Saturday.
