Things To Do in Franklinton

Franklinton has come to life thanks to the edgy, industrial artists that call it home. You can take a trapeze class or explore independent studios at 400 West Rich, an old drinking fountain manufacturing facility offering affordable space for up-and-coming artists. Life-sized murals grace buildings throughout the neighborhood and galleries like the Vanderelli Room and ROY G BIV infuse more art into the area. You can even create your own art at places like Glass Axis and Makers Social. Franklinton Fridays, taking place the second Friday of each month, or the annual Urban Scrawl are great opportunities to explore all the community has to offer.

Of course, the area is anchored by two major attractions along the Scioto River: COSI and the National Veterans Memorial and Museum. COSI is Columbus’ dynamic hands-on science center that offers more than 300 interactive experiences as well as the one-of-a-kind American Museum of Natural History Dinosaur Gallery. Meanwhile, the National Veterans Memorial and Museum is the only facility in the country that honors all veterans and their families, from all branches of service and eras of conflict, under one roof.

Franklinton is exploding with growth, so it’s a neighborhood sure to keep you coming back time and again.
