This past December, Columbus-based Cameron Mitchell Restaurants was invited to host a dinner at the venerable James Beard House in New York City. For those who don’t know, James Beard was a renowned American chef, cookbook author and teacher who mentored many generations of professional chefs. Today, the James Beard Foundation continues his legacy by celebrating and honoring America’s innovative chefs. Securing an invitation to serve dinner at the establishment is highly coveted and an incredible honor for all recipients.
One lucky Columbus Monthly reporter got the nearly once-in-a-lifetime chance to attend the dinner and I encourage everyone to read about the experience here. The good news is, anyone in Columbus for a meeting or convention has an opportunity of his or her own to have a James Beard-worthy dinner (and enjoy the hallmark high service noted in the article) courtesy of any number of the below-listed Cameron Mitchell Restaurant concepts within walking distance of the Greater Columbus Convention Center (GCCC).
