What is the CBUS Rewards app?
The CBUS Rewards app is a free mobile app that helps you explore Columbus while earning points for visiting local businesses, attractions, and events. You can also use it to discover things to do, access deals, build itineraries, and redeem points for rewards.
Is the CBUS Rewards app free to use?
Yes, the app and rewards program are completely free to join and use. Limit one account per person.
Do I need an account to use the app?
You can browse the app as a guest, but you’ll need to create a free account to earn and redeem points. After downloading the app, tap the profile icon in the top-right corner, select "Sign In”, and follow the prompts to create your account.
How do I earn points?
You can earn points by checking in at participating events, attractions, and businesses. Once you’re at an eligible location, open the app, tap the CBUS Rewards button, select your location, and tap “Check-In Now”. Points are typically awarded instantly.
How many points do I earn per check-in?
You earn 10 points for each business, event, and attraction check-in. You may only check in to the same location once per year. Points and check-in eligibility reset annually in September.
Do points ever expire?
Yes, points reset annually in September. Any unused points will be forfeited at that time. Users will be notified before the reset occurs.
The app won’t let me check in to a location. What should I do?
You must be physically present at the location to check in. Make sure your location services are enabled your device settings. You can also only check in to each location once per year.
What can I redeem my points for?
Rewards rotate and typically require between 50 and 1,000 points. Options may include exclusive Columbus-themed merchandise, local restaurant gift cards, experiential passes and more. To view current rewards, open the app and tap the Redemptions button.
How do I redeem my points?
To redeem points, open the CBUS Rewards app and navigate to the Redemptions section. Select the item you'd like, click “Redeem”, and complete a short form to confirm your request. Most rewards, including gift cards, are shipped to the address provided on your form. Delta vouchers are sent via email from rewards@experiencecolumbus.com — if you don’t see it within two business days, please check your spam or junk folder.
What should I do if I have an issue with my account or rewards?
For assistance, email rewards@experiencecolumbus.com with details about your issue. Include screenshots when possible.
