Columbus' commitment to safety
The Columbus community has been able to safety reopen amidst the COVID-19 pandemic by ensuring proper health and safety protocols are in place, including a citywide mask mandate. Currently, a statewide curfew is in effect from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday, Dec. 10 to help slow the spread of COVID-19. The Franklin County stay-at-home advisory, in effect until Dec. 18, asks citizens not to leave their residences or travel outside of Ohio unless it is absolutely necessary. Family Events in Columbus

There are several special exhibits throughout the year at Columbus' top-rated attractions along with the Columbus Children's Theater, a slew of parks and recreational activities and festivals suitable for families that make Columbus a great family-getaway destination.

COSI continues to be a top-rated science center thanks to its more than 300 interactive exhibits with new exhibits rotating through the seasons. The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium hosts events such as Jack Hanna’s Fall Fest where America’s favorite zookeeper “Jungle” Jack Hanna comes back to his home zoo to take the stage with some of his animal friends and share stories of his travels. Around the holidays don’t miss the Wildlights light display. Zoombezi Bay offers summer splash-in movies in their wave pool on certain Friday nights. Family activities and crafts are offered every weekend to enhance your experience at Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. The Kids Expo at the Arnold Sports Festival come March is an event not to be missed for families.

No matter the season, there is always a sporting event taking place in Columbus. From the Columbus Clippers, Triple-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians and Major League Soccer’s Columbus Crew SC, to the National Hockey League’s Columbus Blue Jackets, you will always find something fun for your family.
