Things To Do In Columbus

There are things to do in Columbus no matter how you want to spend your free time, from green space and art to science and more. Check out the stunning Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens or head over to COSI (named best science museum in the nation – three years in a row). Peruse stunning works at the Columbus Museum of Art or head out to cover some of our miles and miles of trails (you might see a bison or a waterfall while you’re at it). If you feel like shopping, go local or hit the big name brands, because we have plenty of both.

In the warmer months, you’ll find festivals of all kinds, from food trucks to music. Throughout the year, you can visit art galleries, attend concerts and plays, and enjoy art walks and community events. Our cultural scene runs the gamut of excellence!

Columbus has many unique neighborhoods, each one home to countless fantastic local businesses and restaurants, including many from rising stars and up-and-comers that you can only find here. German Village, the King Arts District, Hilliard, Grandview Heights, the Arena District, Easton, Clintonville, Bexley – the list of amazing neighborhoods to check out goes on and on!

On top of that, we’re the proud home of three professional sports teams (Columbus Crew, Columbus Blue Jackets, and the Columbus Clippers). If you’re headed to a game, come by early to enjoy the Arena District’s DORA (Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area), and then walk to the event of your choice alongside hundreds of other impassioned sports fans.

Check out the Experience Columbus blog, Events Calendar, our experience trails throughout the city (like the Columbus Coffee and Distillery Trails!), and these suggestions for spending an hour, an afternoon, and a day in Columbus.
