Columbus' commitment to safety
The Columbus community has been able to safety reopen amidst the COVID-19 pandemic by ensuring proper health and safety protocols are in place, including a citywide mask mandate. Currently, a statewide curfew is in effect from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday, Dec. 10 to help slow the spread of COVID-19. The Franklin County stay-at-home advisory, in effect until Dec. 18, asks citizens not to leave their residences or travel outside of Ohio unless it is absolutely necessary. Event Submission Information

Help Us Promote Your Event

The events calendar is the most popular section of experiencecolumbus.com. Make sure your event is listed so that it can be found by visitors. Experience Columbus uses the events that are submitted to the calendar for other marketing uses such as the monthly Events in Cbus cards distributed throughout the city, the monthly Insiders Club e-newsletter, and more.

NOTE: The calendar only lists events with broad appeal that would interest visitors outside of Columbus, such as festivals, sporting events, live music, visual arts, and events of that nature.

How do I submit an event?

Create an account with OhioEventFinder.com. Once approved (which may take a couple of days), you will be able to upload all of your events going forward. By entering it once, your information automatically will be listed on artsinohio.com and columbusmakesart.com, and will be shared with Experience Columbus, TourismOhio, and Ohio Magazine.

Troubleshooting: Why isn’t my event showing up?

We receive event submissions to our database every night. Once submissions are received, there is a two-day processing period before events will appear on experiencecolumbus.com. For this reason, and to allow plenty of time for promotion, we encourage you to submit your event several weeks (or months) in advance. We have the opportunity to promote the event in more channels the further in advance we receive the information.

Why is my event information different from what I submitted?

Experience Columbus staff serve as editors of the content submitted to the calendar. Please keep this in mind, as the content you submit may be edited for the visitor audience or changed to reflect our marketing guidelines. Experience Columbus does not receive modifications you make to an event after it has been submitted. Please contact us if you wish to make a change to an existing event on the Experience Columbus calendar.

Do Experience Columbus partners receive additional exposure?

It’s free for anyone to post an appropriate event to our calendar. Partner events are candidates for additional exposure, such as a feature on our website homepage or in other various marketing materials.
