The Columbus community has been able to safely reopen amidst the COVID-19 pandemic by ensuring proper health and safety protocols are in place, including a citywide mask mandate. Currently, a statewide curfew is in effect from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. indefinitely to help slow the spread of COVID-19. The Franklin County stay-at-home advisory, also in effect indefinitely, asks citizens not to leave their residences or travel outside of Ohio unless it is absolutely necessary. The newest hotels to come to downtown Columbus include the Moxy, a 116-room “boutique hotel with the social heart of a hostel” by Marriott, the first Moxy hotel in the state of Ohio, and there are only about a dozen in the U.S. Townhall, a popular Cleveland restaurant and bar will open on the ground floor, followed by a rooftop bar/lounge called the Republic at the Moxy. The Graduate is a 171-room property that gets its look and feel from The Ohio State University and offers two food and beverage outlets, including a Shake Shack, and the cutest hotel dog, Scarlette. The staples of the Short North include Le Meridien, The Joseph and the 532-room Hilton Columbus Downtown, both full to the brim with original local artwork.
