Experience Columbus is excited to announce that we recently launched a newly designed, mobile-responsive website, allowing for a seamless experience whether using a desktop, tablet or mobile device.
The Meeting Planner section of the site still has all of the great content and things you need to know when planning a conference or event in Columbus, just with a fresh, new look. Why Columbus details what makes Columbus a great choice for meetings, including available convention packages, best practices for promoting meetings and updates on the Greater Columbus Convention Center renovation. The Attendee Experience section details the experience attendees can look forward to and is highlighted by a video showing Columbus through the eyes of a first-time visitor. The News & Updates section hosts our Meeting Planner Blog, as well as recent convention-related news about Columbus and a “what’s new in Columbus” section with details on the latest and greatest projects around the city.
While the Venue Search function has been around for a year or two, it has a new look and feel, and there are some additional features we’re excited about. When you get to the Venue Search page, you can search based on the number of sleeping or meeting rooms needed, total square-feet or the square feet of the largest meeting room needed. You can also sort by distance, venue type or region. Hotels and venues pull up based on your search criteria (or you can just search them all). There is a new “compare” feature that allows you to do a side-by-side comparison of multiple venues of interest. To do so, you just click the “+Compare” link on the venues you are interested in and then hit the “Compare Items” button at the top to compare the facility info, details and amenities to determine what would be the best fit for you and your conference.
In the Meeting Planner section, it’s easy to submit an RFP right on the website or contact our experienced Sales and Services staff to assist you with everything from reserving hotel room blocks to connecting you with resources to make sure your event is the best it can be.
Make sure you and your attendees check out the Made in Cbus section of the main website to find locally made products and experiences, while the Neighborhood section explores Columbus' unique and diverse neighborhoods. You can also find all of the great attractions, restaurants and events happening in Columbus while you’re here.
