Spring in Columbus just got even more spectacular! Midwest Living has recognized the Greater Columbus Cherry Blossom Festival as one of the 15 Spectacular Spring Flower Festivals in the region.
The tradition of cherry blossoms in the U.S. dates back to 1912 when Tokyo's mayor gifted 3,000 trees to Washington, D.C. In Columbus, our own story began in 2012 when 20 cherry trees were planted during the city's Bicentennial Celebration, thanks to a gift from Japan through OSU East Asian Studies.
Be sure to experience these beautiful blooms firsthand at the festival and throughout the city, including Franklin Park and Berliner Park!
