TODAY highlighted Columbus as one of the best road trips to see fall foliage on Oct. 1, 2025. During a segment featuring Jacqui Gifford, editor of Travel + Leisure, Columbus was selected alongside Catskill, New York; Charlottesville, Virginia; and Mccall, Idaho. The city’s outdoor experiences such as Quarry Trails Metro Park and Dawes Arboretum were highlighted as well as The Junto as a great place to stay. “It’s a great outdoorsy destination in an urban environment,” Gifford says.
