Campfire Brewing
6300 Frost Rd, Westerville, OH 43082
Created by a group of four homebrewing dads, Campfire Brewing was built around camaraderie and community. What better way to kick back with a couple of brews than in good company? Campfire brews a range of beers, from cream ales to Scotch ales to stouts. They even sell little s’mores kits that allow you to roast your own snacks tableside.
Beer to try: The Campfire. One of Campfire’s signature brews, The Campfire is an easy-drinking, lightly bitter IPA flavored with just a touch of smoke.

Nocterra Brewing
41 Depot St, Powell, OH 43065
Nocterra’s whole focus is on outdoor adventures – they host running clubs, hikes, kayaking trips, river clean-ups, and more – and their Powell brewery connects with the outdoors through their giant beer garden. It’s lined with picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, and a pair of giant gas firepits. It’s perfect for relaxing with burgers or sandwiches from their on-site food truck, Trail Magic Kitchen.
BONUS: Nocterra operates a second location, Nocterra Audubon Brewery & Restaurant, a full-service restaurant and bar in downtown Columbus, next to the Scioto Audubon Metro Park. You can bike or hike your way there, then enjoy dinner and beers by the patio firepits!
Beer to try: Foliage Finder. It’s hard to beat a good, crisp pumpkin ale, and Nocterra’s Foliage Finder brings all the sweet spice and malty goodness you’d expect from that brew.

Antiques on High
714 S High St, Columbus, OH 43206
Antiques on High is a sister brewery to Seventh Son Brewing in Italian Village and Getaway Brewing in Dublin. This Brewery District space specializes in sour and tart beers, paired with traditional brews, an expert cocktail menu and in-house pizzas. The downstairs taproom features a charming mid-century design, with cozy, curving booths and couches around a concrete fireplace. The upstairs patio, which is open in cooler weather, features views of High Street and a second fireplace.
Beer to try: Purpleheart. This dark, tart ale is flavored with blueberries for a touch of sweet balance.
Hoster Brewing Company
653 N James Rd, Columbus, OH 43219
When Hoster Brewing re-opened in 2024, it resurrected one of Columbus’ oldest heritage breweries. Originally located in the Brewery District, Hoster has come and gone over the years, but this latest version occupies a cozy taproom space in a light industrial district, close to the John Glenn International Airport. The bar is chock full of Hoster and beer memorabilia, which gives you plenty to take in while you sample your way through their menu of German, Czech, and English-style brews.
Beer to try: While you certainly shouldn’t skip Hoster’s signature Gold Top lager, don’t miss the Dunkles Bock, a traditional bock that blends roasty malts with a clean finish and a touch of bitterness.

Henmick Farm Brewery
4380 N Old State Rd, Delaware, OH 43015
Henmick Farm & Brewery is carved out of a few acres from a family-owned Delaware farm, and it pairs a full roster of beer, cocktails, and eats from local food trucks with the idyllic charm of Ohio farmland. You can sit in one of the spacious, barn-like taprooms near the big fireplace, or find a seat on the expansive patios. You’ll find rows of picnic tables and seats around the firepits. Visit on select weekends and you’ll get to enjoy live music, too!
Bonus: Henmick also crafts a small selection of tart and crisp ciders made with apples from Hugus Fruit Farm.
Beer to try: Oktoberfest. Henmick’s entry into this classic Märzen-style beer nicely balances a malty and bready quality with a touch of bitterness and a dry finish.
