Bake Me Happy: Bake Me Happy is one of the city’s premiere gluten free bakeries. From their shop near German Village to their stall at North Market Bridge Park, they ply guests with gluten free versions of nostalgic treats, from zebra cakes to Rice Krispies to brownies.
Gluten Free Biscuits By Daddy-O: Biscuits By Daddy-O first made a name for itself selling a winning GF biscuit recipe, which you can experience first-hand at their King-Lincoln café with sweet and savory biscuits, pretzels, sausage balls, and pizzas. You can still order their mixes to go, and they provide helpful instructions for making them at home!
Cherbourg Bakery: Cherbourg’s adorable Bexley bakery and café is the spot to enjoy gluten free donuts, muffins, lemon bars, cookies, plus savory treats like quiche and strata.
You’ll also find a number of local cottage bakeries selling gluten free goodies at local farmers markets! Braised & Broiled Bakeshop offers a full range of beautiful GF breads; find them at the Worthington Farmer’s Market and the market at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Madelyn’s Bakery is based in Granville, but shows up regularly at Worthington’s market with gluten free and vegan goods. Sitara’s Sweets by Kat is another Worthington regular, with gluten free and sugar free sweets.

Many restaurants these days are very good at adapting their menus to gluten free diets. Here are a few spots that are dedicated gluten free or known for accommodating.
Choripan Argentine Grill: Choripan is an Argentinean eatery dedicated to gluten free cooking. In fact, their menu is fully gluten, grain, soy, sugar, seed oil, and nut free! Their specialties include empanadas, sandwiches, pizzas, and desserts.
Preston’s Burgers: In addition to serving one of the city’s top burgers, Preston’s welcomes gluten free diners with dedicated gluten free prep areas and buns, so everyone can enjoy a classic smashburger, a Spicy Boi, and a coney dog.
Marcella’s: Cameron Mitchell Restaurants are generally very good at adapting to almost any dietary preference, so it’s especially impressive when an Italian restaurant like Marcella’s can adapt to gluten free needs. Many of their appetizers are available gluten free, as are salads and cheeses, and both the pastas and the pizza doughs are GF by request.
SOW Plated: SOW Plated in Upper Arlington features a number of GF dishes, from jackfruit or waygu steak tacos to ancient grain salads, pad thai to poke bowls, Faroe Island salmon to braised short ribs.
Ray Ray’s Hog Pit: Even if you’re eating gluten free, you can still enjoy a barbecue feast at Ray Ray’s, from jerk chicken to baby back ribs to brisket, cauliflower burnt ends to baked beans to collard greens.
The Whitney House: This much-loved Old Worthington outpost has exceled recently at gluten free-friendly dining. You can dive into an upscale, tavern-style lunch, brunch, or dinner with skillet corn bread, arancini, tavern burgers on GF buns, heaping salads, strip steaks, Lake Erie walleye, and much more.
Dosa Corner: Dosa Corner’s Southern Indian vegetarian menu is built around items made with lentil flour, from savory donuts to dumplings their giant namesake dosas.
Rooh: This upscale, progressive Indian eatery in the Short North features a number of delicious gluten free dishes. Think masala feta saag, lamb shank nihari, their “always-changing” biryani, and their signature butter chicken.

Many local pizza shops offer gluten free crusts, so you can dig into your favorite pies, from cauliflower crusts at Massey’s Pizza and house-made GF crusts at Pizza House. JT’s Pizza & Pub lets you go gluten free with their Big Al, chicken bacon ranch, and all their pies, while Harvest Pizzeria can offer GF versions of all the favorites, from the Spicy Yuma to the Double Bacon Three Cheese.
