Hawk Galleries was founded in 1986 in the Short North Arts District and moved in 2002 to their present location with 5,000 sq. ft. of retail gallery space at 153 E. Main St. Located in the heart of downtown Columbus, near the Westin Hotel (formerly the Great Southern Hotel) and German Village. A complete day of visual art appreciation would include visiting the Columbus Museum of Art and the Franklin Park Conservatory, along with Hawk Galleries. Hawk Galleries represents major artists working in glass, painting, sculpture, metal and wood, such as: Dale Chihuly, Lino Tagliapietra, Christopher Ries, Dan Dailey, Jon Kuhn, Martin Blank, Dante Marioni, Damian Priour, Paul Stankard, Cappy Thompson, Mary VanCline, Ben Moore, Deborah Moore, Linda MacNeil, Cassandria Blackmore. Albert and Frances Paley and Shane Fero. Gallery openings typically include the artist being present for a presentation and education. Hawk Galleries also offers rental space with hardwood floors, antique ceilings and exposed brick walls surrounded by beautiful contemporary art and views of the city. Events could include Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, business meetings, holiday parties, anniversary celebrations, convention events, meet and greets and fundraising events. Hawk Galleries also offers many unique gifts for varied occasions including Judaic items and corporate gifts. Works can range from paperweights to 30 piece room installations.
