Specialties One Line Coffee is a specialty coffee roaster whose mission is to work with small coffee farmers and cooperatives and bring fantastic origin coffee to the retail market. We operate a "Showcase Roaster Store" in the Short North Area of Columbus, Ohio which includes a premier coffee bar, education/cupping center and perform sample and profile roasting on a small batch roaster. Every coffee and tea drink is prepared to order. We also sell whole beans for home and office use and operate a wholesale business for high-end cafes and bakeries. History Established in 2009. Father-Son team Mark and Dave Forman began their coffee journey in April of 2003 as independent coffeehouse owners-operators. Ever-mindful of quality, and with a particular interest in small business development and working with other entrepreneurs, Mark and Dave began small-batch roasting selected coffee offerings in their original coffeehouse. In 2012, after honing their roasting skills and developing key relationships with producers and importers, One Line Coffee launched their production roasting facility in Heath, OH, and also opened a retail showcase in the bustling Short North Arts District of Columbus. In October 2013, Mick Evans joined the team as partner and head of retail operations. Meet the Business Owner Mick Evans Mick Evans began his coffee career by accident in 2007, having operated a photography business, and discovering his love for all things coffee. He started as a part-time Barista with Boston Stoker, a Dayton, Ohio-based roaster-retailer. His competitive spirit led Mick to Barista Competition, where he was first exposed to the industry on a large scale - meeting producers, trainers, managers, and business owners. Inspired and energized by this community, Mick quickly honed his skills as a Barista, and began conducting barista training at Boston Stoker in 2009, eventually becoming the department Director in 2010. Mick continued to work closely with Stoker baristas in training and development, in addition to managing the downtown Dayton location, before moving to Columbus in late 2011. In 2013, Mick devoted his time to opening his own roaster-retailer in Columbus, before being invited to join original owners Mark and Dave Forman as a full partner at One Line Coffee. Flag Close
