COLUMBUS, Ohio—Experience Columbus, the destination marketing organization for the Columbus region dedicated to growing visitor spending and enhancing the visitor experience, announced the return of its annual Mother’s Day Gift Guide for its fifth year, offering a curated roadmap for residents and visitors to celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 10, 2026. This year’s guide highlights 27 unique offerings, from physical items to more than a dozen immersive activities or experiences from local businesses designed to create lasting memories.

“This year’s guide serves as a resource for those looking to move beyond traditional gestures,” said Sarah Townes, ECI, Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer for Experience Columbus and the Greater Columbus Sports Commission. “While cards and flowers are timeless and a great option, we wanted to also share ideas of memorable experiences. Whether it’s a tangible treasure from a local maker or a shared experience like a workshop or a show, these gifts reflect Columbus’ vibrant culture, while directly fueling the Central Ohio small business economy.”

Celebrating Mother-Owned & Diverse Businesses

In addition to the gift guide, Experience Columbus highlights the city’s rich entrepreneurial spirit through a featured blog post: Where to Shop Mother-Owned and Inspired Businesses in Columbus

The round-up showcases the real diversity of the Columbus business community, featuring entrepreneurs with Somalian, Ethiopian and homegrown Central Ohio roots. These businesses represent the heart of the city, from family-run shops passing down cherished recipes to boutiques filled with treasures intended to be passed through generations.
